This ten-day 4WD adventure includes Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Gibb River Road, Lake Argyle, El Questro Wilderness Park, Kununurra, Lake Argyle, the World-Heritage listed Bungle Bungles, Cathedral Gorge and theatrical Geikie Gorge.

Day 1 Broome
Today is your arrival day. Arrive any time throughout the day and we will transfer you from the airport to Broome where you can spend the rest of your day exploring Broome, one of the most interesting outback towns in Australia. This evening, join your fellow travellers at a Welcome Dinner before your adventure begins. (Dinner Included)

Day 2 Tunnel Creek
You will be picked up from your accommodation before you wind your way through the remote and picturesque Kimberley region. Enjoy morning tea by the Fitzroy River and visit the Derby 'Boab Prison Tree' before we join the Gibb River Road. Get an insight into the local culture with a visit to the Mowanjum Aboriginal Art & Cultural Centre, before spending the afternoon exploring Tunnel Creek with your local Bunuba guide. Discover stalactites, secret caves and a variety of wildlife in this natural cave system. Settle into our first night under the Kimberly Sky just outside Windjana Gorge. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 3 Windjana Gorge & Bell Gorge
The Napier Range is over 350 million years old and home to the wonderous Windjana Gorge in the Napier Range. Spend the morning exploring the gorge, before heading off for the afternoon at Bell Gorge, a hidden highlight that boasts cascading waterfalls and crystal clear pools - a great place to while away some time. This evening we stay in our private camp by a billabong on Mt Barnett Station. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 4 Galvans Gorge, Adcock Gorge & Mt Barnett Station
Spend today swimming in the wonderful cool waters of the Galvans and Adcock Gorges, stunning natural oases found along the Gibb River Road. Head to Manning Falls to swim in deep crystal pools amid a breathtaking native landscape, replete with wandering streams and waterfalls and abundant wildlife. Spend another night camping on Mt Barnett Station. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Days 5-6 El Questro Wilderness Park
Journey up the Gibb River Road to the amazing El Questro Wilderness Park where you will spend 2 nights, with plenty of free time to explore, relax, or participate in any of the many activities on offer. Swim in the Zebedee Springs, walk into Emma Gorge, cruise Chamberlain Gorge, take a bush tucker walk or bird watch. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included on day 5/Breakfast and lunch on day 6).

Day 7 Kununurra & Lake Argyle
Spend a few hours free time in delightful Kununurra, before travelling to the shores of Lake Argyle in the afternoon. There is free time to visit Durack Homestead Museum, or trek one of the many surrounding bush walks, or join a sunset boat cruise on the lake (approx. AU$100 pp extra) (Breakfast included).

Days 8-9 Purnululu National Park: Bungle Bungles
After a relaxing morning, you will head south to Purnululu National Park - home of the breathtaking Bungle Bungles - where you will spend two nights in the private Bungle Bungle Safari Camp. Allow a full day to explore the National Park, including the Bungle Bungle domes. You will also adventure into Echidna Chasm (2 km) and stunning natural amphitheatre Cathedral Gorge (2-3 km). In the afternoon, you may take an optional scenic flight for a bird's eye view of the beehive domes (approx. $365 pp, own expense) (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included on both days).

Day 10 China Wall & Fitzroy Crossing
Visit the significant China Wall in the gold rush town of Halls Creek, enroute to Fitzroy Crossing. You will also enjoy lunch at Mary's Pool and visit an isolated Aboriginal Art Gallery, before camping by the Fitzroy River at Fitzroy Crossing (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 11 Geikie Gorge & Broome
You will enjoy a delightful morning cruise through majestic Geikie Gorge, before exploring Old Fitzroy Crossing and enjoying lunch by the river. You will return to Broome in time to enjoy sunset on Cable Beach. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 12 Broome
Your adventure draws to an end today. Enjoy your time in Broome before we transfer you to your departure flight, or you head off on your onward journey. (Breakfast included)

    Tour includes 11 Breakfasts, 9 Lunches and 9 Dinners.

    Kimberley Wild provides tents, swags (including 2 - 3 inch mattresses), bottom sheets, pillows and pillow cases. You can either bring your own sleeping bag or buy one from us at $35 per person. If you choose to buy one, you are welcome to take it home following your trip or alternatively, donate it to local communities.

    1. Lunch on Day 7 in Kununurra and Dinner on Nights 6 & 7 are at your own expense - allow approx AUD $100per person
    2. Camping Plus accommodation upgrades are subject to availability.

  • What to bring:

    Travellers on this trip must bring a pair of shoes/sandals that they don't mind getting wet and a torch. Other recommendations include: A broad-brimmed hat with sun visor for all round protection, swimming costume and towel, walking shoes, a long-sleeved cotton shirt (sun protection), 1 pair of loose-fitting pants, a warm jumper (particularly if travelling May-Aug), personal water bottle and personal toiletries, first aid (with any personal medication required) and a sleeping bag - available for purchase at $35pp and must be requested with our office prior to travel. Note: Luggage must be kept to a managable amount in a small soft bag - 15 kg max. You can bring along a day pack that you can use as well for additional luggage.

    Kimberley Wild advises against younger children joining our tours as the days can be long, the distances travelled extended and the walks difficult for little legs.

    Passengers travelling on their own who wish to upgrade to Camping Plus, but opt not to pay a Single Supplement can pay the twin share price and maybe twin shared with another traveller of the same gender where required. On camping nights, often they will still get their own tent. Travellers are still able to guarantee themselves Single accommodation (Camping or Camping Plus) if preferred, by opting to pay the Guaranteed Single Supplement. Must be selected in booking.

    Single travellers MAY have to twin share with another traveller of the same gender at the Bungle Bungles Safari Camp - this is a rare occurrence.

    We ask that luggage is kept to a managable amount in a small soft bag - 15 kg max. You can bring along a day pack that you can use as well for additional luggage.

    We operate in custom-built, 21 seat 4WD trucks with a PA system and built-in storage (no risky trailors!). These vehicles allow our small groups extra space (including standing room), are fully air-conditioned and, for your comfort are fitted with adjustable air-vents, reclinable seats, map pockets and footrests.
