Tour one of the oldest wine regions in Australia, sample wine at boutique wineries, taste local cheese and chocolate, visit a local distillery or brewery, enjoy your morning tea and coffee at Walkabout Wildlife Park and get hands-on with a koala and python.
Tour starts with pickup at Sydney City hotel. Please let us know your hotel address to arrange for pickup.
After departing Sydney, the first stop is at Walkabout Wildlife Park. Visit wildlife park. Meet the ranger, VIP animal encounter, pat koala and kangaroos, see emus, wombats, tassie devil and more. Enjoy your morning tea and coffee on the verandah with wildlife around you.
From here continue to the Hunter Valley. You will travel through vineyards, visit boutique wineries, enjoy stunning scenery and taste the wine. The Hunter Valley is known for its long-aged Semillon (highly prized by wine writers from all over the world) and elegant Shiraz. But in fact, you can find more than 20 different wine styles there offered in over 150 cellar doors.
After your first visit to a local boutique winery, you will have free time for lunch and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the Hunter. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or have a la carte lunch in picturesque location at well-known local restaurant.
After lunch, visit 2 boutique award winning wineries. Taste premium wine. Only small family owned wineries are visited.
You will have also an opportunity to taste the cheese, local gourmet food. The tour returns to Sydney at approximately 6.30pm.
