The state of Victoria is where you’ll find some of Australia’s most iconic and beautiful landscapes filled with unique wildlife, friendly locals and unforgettable experiences.
Two of the very best are the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians National Park – destinations that should be at the very top of any travel itinerary to this vibrant state. The sweeping coastal scenery of the Great Ocean Road and the majestic uplands of the Grampians make an unforgettable combination, showcasing the broad range of natural wonders found in the land down under.
The Three Day Great Ocean Road & Grampians Tour is the perfect way to see these two very different natural attractions in one go, travelling in style and comfort from Melbourne to Adelaide in a small, exclusive group led by an expert guide.
On day one, you’ll be picked up from the centre of the vibrant city of Melbourne in a modern, comfortable minibus with a professional guide on board to make your trip run smoothly. Leaving Melbourne, you’ll head for the coast and link up with one of the world’s greatest stretches of bitumen – the iconic Great Ocean Road.
Every twist and turn of this awesome road offers an amazing view and the bus will stop at some legendary surf spots to give you a first hand experience of the Victorian coast. Along the way you'll also stop at Kennett River where you can spot koalas munching on leaves and lazing about in the treetops. There is also a visit the iconic Twelve Apostles and the Loch Ard Gorge. Lunch is included, as well as overnight accommodation in the town of Warrnambool.
For day two, you'll rise to a hearty breakfast and get back on the Great Ocean Road for another cruise before heading inland to the Grampian's National Park. Your entry to the park is included in the ticket price, so sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery of lush forest, towering peaks and soaring valleys.
The first stop in the Grampians National Park will be at the Brambuk Aboriginal Culture Centre where you’ll learn about and connect with local aboriginal culture. There have been aborigines living in the Grampians for tens of thousands of years, and this experience will give your visit to the area a deeper connection.
Later on comes a hike up the famous Pinnacles – rock formations that overlook wide valleys and offer amazing views over the Grampians. After working up a sweat, you'll settle down in Halls Gap and enjoy a traditional Australian-style barbeque for dinner with the bush all around. The tour will then settle into comfortable accommodation and have a well-earned rest.
On day three, the final day, you'll begin with a hike to the base of the stunning Mackenzie Falls. This is the highest waterfall in the Grampians and offers a breathtaking experience, with a walk through lush bush land before arriving at a natural wonder.
After a relaxing break, you’ll then spend the rest of your time visiting other famous sights within the Grampians like The Balconies and Reeds Lookout – rock formations that tower above the valleys and hills and offer some spectacular photo opportunities. Then it’s time to catch a luxury Vline Coach to travel on to Adelaide where the three day tour will end – but the memories of what you'll see and do will last forever!
