This exciting half day tour takes in the Adelaide Hills, the Mount Lofty Ranges and gives you time to explore Hahndorf and other quaint villages. All this while sampling local handmade produce and perusing many unique arts and crafts along the way.

You’ll depart on this wonderful tour at around 9am from Glenelg hotels or 9.30am from Adelaide hotel accommodation. Hop on the bus with your fellow intrepid travellers and your friendly and very knowledgeable driver for an amazing adventure of sightseeing highlights. Meandering leisurely through the Adelaide Hills to the Mount Lofty Ranges, you can pick to drive on the Old Adelaide Road for some Koala viewing, watch these very cute critters as they peer lazily down at you from the eucalyptus trees.
Mount Lofty Summit is the grandiose peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges and provides a spectacular panoramic view of the Adelaide city skyline, right through to the coast. At its peak, it rises a whopping 710 metres above sea level! The views, sights, sounds and native flora and fauna you’ll get to see is simply breathtaking. The visitor centre in this summit complex features interactive touch screens, which will tell you much more about the summit and the many other splendid tourist attractions that surround this magical area. You can pick up a quality Australian made souvenir as well as a wonderful variety of locally handcrafted goods.
The Adelaide Hills are dotted here and there with unique and quaint historical villages, vineyards and wineries, all cocooned in spectacular landscapes. Next, It’s back on the bus and ‘back in time’ to Hahndorf. This captivating historical town has retained and invigorated its German heritage superbly, and – combined with some very modern, exciting chic businesses – this all adds up to create the delightful atmosphere and unique village feel. The Main Street is lined magnificently with 100-year-old elm and plane trees, divine eateries, many gift and souvenir shops, exquisite leather good stores, superb clothing and craft outlets and many amazing galleries. Two pubs offer authentic German food and beer for you to indulge in.
This wonderful place is hard to leave, but if you want to experience more, you can pop off to the fantastic Crafers and Stirling villages by request to your driver. Don’t forget your camera for some terrific photo opportunities! After a captivating day immersed in the vineyards, the vibrant colours of the local farmlands and panoramic views, you’ll return to Adelaide at 1.30 pm.
