Tour the stunning and world famous Barossa Valley, visiting four amazing wineries and sampling their wares. Explore a number of other attractions and places of beauty and learn the fascinating history of this wonderful region. Maximum group size 20.
With pickup from your Glenelg accommodation around 8.30am or Adelaide accommodation at 9.00 am, you'll meet your friendly and professional tour guide, before boarding your comfortable, air conditioned 20-seater Toyota coaster deluxe, which is equipped with CD player and iPod connections. You'll travel out of Adelaide City and through the glorious Adelaide Hills before visiting the phenomenal Whispering Wall. Here you'll be amazed by the acoustic phenomenon that gave this wall its name.
Next, you'll stop at the first winery of the day is the historically significant Chateau Yaldara. This winery is considered a must-see to those visiting the Barossa Valley, as the beautiful building is one of South Australia's most photographed pieces of architecture. The Chateau also has some top drops of wine; however, if you'd prefer, you can opt for a tea or coffee and morning tea at Cafe Y instead. Continuing on, you'll see some gorgeous Barossa Valley scenery as you travel over Jacobs Creek on your way to Tanunda, an historic town, considered the heart of the Valley. Here, you'll have some free time to look around, meet the locals and do some shopping.
From here, you'll travel to the reputed Peter Lehmann Winery, where you'll indulge in a lunch platter of fresh and gourmet meats, cheeses, olives, breads and vegetables in beautiful surrounds. There is also an option for vegetarians that is similarly delicious and spectacularly fresh. Following lunch, you'll stroll over to Langmeil, one of the most historically recognised and most beautiful wineries in the region. This winery has the oldest Shiraz vineyard in the world, so it's definitely a must-see! While you're here, you'll visit the cellar door for some of their famous wine varietals. Following your visit to Langmeil, you'll stop at Menglers Hill Lookout for some stunning views over the undulating valley.
Driving through the Barossa Valley's gorgeous Seppeltsfield region, you'll see the Seppeltsfield winery, an icon of Aussie wines, en-route to our last stop at the Murray Street Vineyards, which is located on the other side of the Barossa from where you began your journey. Here, you'll learn the fascinating story of this wineries origins and sample some more delicious wine. You'll be returned to Adelaide about 5 to 5:30pm or Glenelg at around 5:30 to 6pm.
